Friends

Life is good when you have had a friendship that has lasted 30 years, and I am only 33! Having that special friend that I have gone through the think and thin of life with just brings a smile to my face. 

For The Love of Shoes

   I can't go into a store without stopping by to check out the the latest in the shoe department.  My boys always say, " Mom not again???" I admit, I love shoes!  So.... I was at Target about two weeks ago and saw these shoes, $12. 99. Could not pass them up.  Now everywhere I go, I have someone oh and ah over them and ask where I got them.  They are in shock to find they are from Target and only $12.99! Ladies, go out and get yourself some.  They are comfy and so darn cute.  Perfect for Spring Fever :)

Spring Is In The Air

I am ready for spring.  Seeing small blooms on our tree is getting me excited.  The boys also found shoots coming up from the bulbs we planted last month.  They can't wait to see what kind of flowers are going to pop up. I do have to say that I am enjoying the sound of pitter patter on our living room window. To me winter showers bring spring flowers :) Enjoy the cool wet weather with a spot of tea and a scone and think of the warm days ahead.

For my Lego Boys.  A great way to start the morning.  Cupid left them a Lego note and a heart shaped breakfast. Another great day to show love to ones you love. Hope you all had a day filled with love. 

Kitchen Calendar

It took me awhile to finally get what I wanted.  I went through four different versions of this calendar.  This is what I should have started with.  I had this idea last year but didn't think it would look that good.  After not liking the last four and spending hours at the scrapbook store, I could have just gone to OSH and been done with it.  This is one of my favorite things in my kitchen now and it has inspired me to be more Shabby Chic :)

One Of My Favorite Things

And yet another Valentine's decoration in my house.  I love this board from Creative Memories.  It is a magnetic board and it comes with really cute magnets.  I had it in E's room with his newborn sock and name hanging from the clips with a Hawaiian background.  I loved it.  I was probably one of my favorite thing in his room.  It is now hanging in my kitchen and I change it every season. I am thinking of copying one of my favorite recipes and enlarging in then using it as my background.  I will update you with the final product.  Have a great night everyone. 

Patio Table In The Making

They are finally done.  I love them.  I told Corey that they look like they're out Pottery Barn.  They are going to look great with table that he is going to start soon.  BBQ at our house in the near future so you can all try them out :)

So I have been wanting a new patio table with benches.  I finally got Corey to start, in between classes.  He began building the benches first.  Tyler got in on the craftsmanship too. The final product is almost done!  After 4 hours he is ready to being final assembly.  I now have to decide what color I want.  I am debating on white wash/distressed benches with a farm house red table or a white wash/distressed table with matching benches. Any suggestions??  A natural stain has also crossed my mind but sound to boring. I love the shabby chic cottage look. Pictures of the final product will come soon.
